NUCLEAR SCINTIGRAPHY
Equine nuclear scintigraphy (commonly referred to as a bone scan) is an advanced diagnostic imaging modality that uses a radioactive tracer to identify areas of increased bone turnover and metabolic activity. It allows for whole‑body assessment and is most commonly used to investigate poorly localised or unexplained lameness. Nuclear scintigraphy is a valuable diagnostic tool in referral equine practice, bridging the gap when nerve blocks and conventional imaging techniques fail to identify the source of pain.
SURGERY
Matamata Veterinary Services - Equine is equipped with a fully functional surgical suite, enabling the performance of a wide range of operative procedures to manage disease, injury, and congenital conditions in horses.
